I have two varieties of White Nanking Cherry bushes to sell; Ian and Jules. You'll need at least one of each so they can pollinate each other. These multi-stemmed bushes are selected to produce fruit that is less acidic and sweeter than the red nanking cherries.
(These are one of a few plants that I sell in plastic pots. I am always happy to have those pots returned if you're local and don't want to add more plastic to the landfills.)
Note: You'll need two varieties to ensure pollination.
Size/Spacing:
They will grow to be about 4-8' tall and about 6-8' wide. You can prune the older canes to both manage the size and to rejuvenate the plant.
Site Preference:
They can handle some shade, but will produce the best in full sun. I have some growing successfully in harsher more rocky soils, but they will produce best in rich well draining soil. As is true with most plants, a thick layer of mulch (6-12") will help retain moisture and fertilize the plants.
Hardiness:
USDA Hardiness Zones 3-7
